Contest Update: Salvatore Breaks My Email

I went to bed last night and the count was 117. “Whee!” I thought. “We’ll absolutely get to 120. That’s so exciting! I should proof that cut scene so it’s ready to go in a few days.”

About 30 minutes ago, I pulled up my email on my phone, looking for a message I sent yesterday. My phone only loads the last 50 messages off the server, which is fine. Except today. Today I got 50 messages which were all notifications about posts to the contest page.

Apparently R.A. Salvatore was kind enough to tell you all about my contest this morning. And now I owe you a cut scene, and I might soon owe you another. And 500 is suddenly a lot less of a pipe dream…

If there is anything to learn from this, it’s that R.A. Salvatore, Troy Denning, Paul S. Kemp and Richard Lee Byers (who also told friends and fans about my contest) are a really sweet, stand-up bunch of guys I’m really glad to know and work with.

Also, never make Salvatore mad, because there really are a lot of you.
